Tour Itinerary

DAY 1 – Arrival in Tanzania | Welcome to Moshi

Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport, you will be warmly welcomed by our representative and transferred to your lodge in Moshi.
On clear days, Mount Kilimanjaro rises majestically above the landscape—mysterious, sacred, and soon to be your great challenge.
Enjoy a relaxed evening in tropical gardens as you prepare for the adventure ahead.

Dinner & Overnight: Weru Weru River Lodge – Moshi


DAY 2 – Machame Gate to Machame Camp (Rainforest Zone)

Altitude: 1,800 m → 3,000 m
Walking Time: 6–7 hours

After breakfast, drive to Machame Gate, where your Kilimanjaro trek officially begins.
The trail winds through a lush rainforest filled with towering trees, colorful birds, and black-and-white colobus monkeys.
A steady ascent leads to Machame Camp, where your crew prepares a warm dinner under a sky filled with stars.

Overnight: Machame Camp


DAY 3 – Machame Camp to Shira Camp (Moorland Zone)

Altitude: 3,000 m → 3,840 m
Walking Time: 4–6 hours

Leaving the forest behind, the landscape opens into heath and moorland.
As you cross ridges and valleys toward the Shira Plateau, Mount Kilimanjaro feels closer with every step, while Mount Meru appears in the distance above the clouds.

DAY 4 – Shira Camp to Barranco Camp via Lava Tower

Altitude: 3,840 m → 4,600 m → 3,950 m
Walking Time: 6–8 hours

A crucial acclimatization day. Ascend gradually to Lava Tower, where you stop for lunch at high altitude before descending into the dramatic Barranco Valley.
This area is known for its giant senecio plants and stunning rock formations.

Overnight: Barranco Camp


DAY 5 – Barranco Camp to Karanga Camp

Altitude: 3,950 m → 3,995 m
Walking Time: 4–5 hours

Begin the day with the climb of the iconic Barranco Wall—an exciting but non-technical ascent offering spectacular views.
Continue trekking across valleys and ridges to Karanga Camp, an important rest point before the final ascent.

Overnight: Karanga Camp


DAY 6 – Karanga Camp to Barafu Camp (Summit Base Camp)

Altitude: 3,995 m → 4,673 m
Walking Time: 3–4 hours

A short but steep hike leads to Barafu Camp, your base for the summit attempt.
After an early dinner, rest and prepare—your summit climb begins shortly after midnight.

DAY 7 – Summit Day | Uhuru Peak & Descent to Mweka Camp

Altitude: 4,673 m → 5,895 m → 3,100 m
Walking Time: 10–14 hours

Under a sky filled with stars, begin the final ascent toward the summit.
After hours of determination, you reach Uhuru Peak (5,895 m)—the highest point in Africa. A truly unforgettable moment.
After photos and celebration, descend to Mweka Camp for a well-earned rest.

DAY 8 – Mweka Gate & Transfer to Karatu

Descend through the lush forest to Mweka Gate, where you receive your official Kilimanjaro climbing certificate.
After lunch, transfer to Karatu, a peaceful town surrounded by coffee plantations and rolling hills.

DAY 9 – Ngorongoro Crater Safari & Transfer to Serengeti

After breakfast, drive to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area with a packed lunch.
Descend into the world-famous Ngorongoro Crater, home to lions, black rhinos, elephants, hippos, and thousands of other animals.
Enjoy approximately 5 hours of game driving inside the crater.
In the afternoon, continue toward Serengeti National Park, arriving at your camp in time for sunset.

DAY 10 – Full Day Serengeti Safari

Spend the entire day exploring the endless plains of the Serengeti.
Witness vast herds of wildebeest, zebras, giraffes, elephants, and predators roaming freely across the savannah.
Depending on the season, you may encounter the Great Migration, one of nature’s most spectacular events.

Dinner & Overnight: Hippo Trails Camp


DAY 11 – Serengeti Morning Game Drive & Return to Arusha

Enjoy a final morning game drive before beginning the journey back to Arusha.
En route, visit Olduvai Gorge, one of the most important archaeological sites in the world, where early human remains dating back millions of years were discovered.
Continue to a Maasai village, where you will learn about traditional life, customs, dances, and handicrafts.
Arrive in Arusha in the late afternoon.
